Halloween Fun

We have had fun with our window at the shop for Halloween.  Inspired by some very funky suede fabric with silver sparkle we have upholstered a very stylish chair with silver frame which will give any room a touch of glamour. This is the centre piece for the window and we have added some luxury with soft velvet throws, stunning embroidered cushions and pretty perfume bottles.  Then we had some fun carving pumpkins and included some potion bottles to give the window a fun spooky look for the Halloween Weekend.  So having enjoyed our day dressing the window we hope you come along and take a look, maybe even treat yourself or someone to something lovely from our store.

Where have all the customers gone!!

 Cosy Fabrics & Cushions

I am bit worried at the moment with the unseasonal sunshine all my lovely customers seem to have disappeared! Have they all gone out for picnics and days by the sea.  Just when we are gearing up for our busy time of the year the sun comes out and all our customers stop coming in to see the lovely gifts, curtains, furniture and handmade soft furnishings we have in store.  Still I suppose we should all make the most of the sunshine whilst it’s here I am sure that all too soon it will be the long dark nights of Winter.  Personally I love the Autumn with all it’s warm golden colours, our minds start turning to all those cosy evenings in by even cosier fires. We are planning our Autumn/ Winter range in the shop so start popping in to see our snuggly throws, comfy cushions and  cosy chairs to curl up in and warm your toes.  Also we are thinking of lovely handmade homewares to treat yourself or family all made in store using fab retro fabrics they hark back to simplier times, choose from stylish aprons, tea cosy’s, egg cosy’s or a cute make up bag to keep in your handbag. At the moment I am planing a few home improvements for myself and keep looking through all our beautiful fabrics for some curtains in my sitting room, with so much choice I am finding it hard to decide.  I have some really pretty fabric that I am getting made up into some curtains for my bedroom to keep us warm as the nights draw in.  So lets make hay while the sunshines but also think about the changing of our seasons and make the most of getting cosy.
